Building an Affordable Uptown

Uptown Partners is working to ensure that as the neighborhood grows, it remains a place where people of all incomes can live, work, and thrive. A core part of this vision is our commitment to long-term affordability, with a goal of maintaining at least 30% of Uptown’s housing as affordable.
Through strategic partnerships, policy advocacy, and a robust pipeline of affordable and mixed-income housing developments, we are expanding access to safe, stable, and high-quality homes. These efforts include both the rehabilitation of long-vacant properties and new construction designed to serve a range of income levels.
Completed projects like Uptown Lofts on Fifth and Mackey Lofts reflect this commitment in action, while our broader development efforts continue to build toward a more inclusive and equitable neighborhood. With over 1,200 total units in development, including more than 380 affordable units, this work represents a significant and ongoing investment in Uptown’s future.
