Safe Streets Uptown

Zone 2 officer building relationships with Uptown-Hill residents during Soho Fall Fest

Public safety is our community’s #1 priority and is a primary focus of Uptown Partners (UP). If you have a concern or ideas about a specific safety challenge in Uptown, join UP and Safe Streets Uptown (SSU) task force members for the first portion of the Safe Streets Uptown bi-monthly, public safety meeting. Residents, business owners, landlords, and developers are encouraged to bring neighborhood safety and quality of life issues to these meetings. Safe Streets Uptown meetings are held on the Second Wednesday of every other month (January, March, May, July, September, November).

These meetings are an opportunity to assist UP and the task force in strategic, targeted approaches to solutions that create a safer community for current and future residents.

Task force members include representatives from: Zone 2 and 4 Police Departments; Offices of Councilman Lavelle; Duquesne Police; Pittsburgh Public Safety Department; the Allegheny County Health Department; Permits Licenses & Inspections; HUD; the Pittsburgh Office Narcotics and Vice; Duquesne University; and others.
